MAP Modified 35:
This is the original TC88A custom ignition profile written especially for the 04-06 Sportsters. It privides a very smooth idle and in most cases, eliminates the "carb fart" problem so many of these bikes are prone to have when the throttle is increased just off idle. This program will retain a good cruise fuel economy, but at the same time provide better part throttle acceleration. During Wide Open Throttle (WOT) acceleration, this program will increase ignition timing up to a maximum of 35 degrees when at 4,500 rpm and above.

MAP Modified 33:
This program has the identical timing tables as the original MAP Modified 35 program, but limits total ignition timing to 33 degrees during WOT at 4,500 rpm and above. This program can be used by someone who wants the benifits of the original custom ignition profile, but requires slightly less timing in the WOT / high rev operating area.

MAP Modified 35 Revised:
This is the latest custom ignition profile for the Sportser. It has the same maximum timing of 35 degrees at WOT at 4,500 rpm and above and the same idle timing as the original MAP Modified 35, program. However, it has a little less timing in the part throttle and mid range rpm areas. This program was developed for those who experience a little pinging during normal acceleration, but want the increased timing of the original MAP Modified 35 program when operatimg at full throttle / high rpm. Due to the 883 head design, an 883 engine that has been converted to a 1200 while still retaining the 883 heads seem to have greater problems with slight pinging / detonation when accelerating at low rpm. These converted engines appear to benefit the most from the MAP Modified 35 Revised program.

Note:   
1.  When any of these custom MAP programs are loaded into your TC88A ignition module, you will still be able to use the "Initial Timing" switch on the TC88A ignition module. Start out with this switch in the #5 position. When it is in the 5 position, the timing will be set exactly as I wrote it. If you want to tweak the timing a little from the way it was written, then you can use the “Initial Timing” switch. For each click position less than 5, you will decrease all timing in the MAP program 1 degree. For each click position above 5, you will increase all timing in the program 1 degree. 

2.  Additionally, you will still need to set your desired rev limit with the switches on the TC88A module since your rev limit data is not included in these custom MAP programs.

3.  These custom MAP programs will give you the ability to set a VSS frequency into your TC88A ignition module. By doing so, you can calibrate your electonic speedometer to read accuaratly no matter what size of rear tire or final gear ratio you may be using.

4.  As with many other performance oriented parts, premium fuel should always be used with any of these custom MAP programs. Failure to do so could result in detonation and possible internal engine damage.
